Event Code of Conduct

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (“JLRNA”) is committed to creating event environments, and travel experiences that are welcoming, inclusive, diverse, safe, and free from harassment or discrimination, regardless of race, creed, sex, religion, age, color, national origin or ancestry, alienage or citizenship status, physical or mental disability, marital status, familial status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, veteran or active military service member status, or any other characteristic protected by law.

This Event Code of Conduct is applicable to everyone who attends a JLRNA sponsored event or travel experience. Attendees include but are not limited to customers, potential customers, guests, media, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, partners, brand ambassadors, vendors, contractors, and employees of JLRNA. Attendees of a JLRNA Event must abide by the following Code of Conduct.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

  • Be considerate and respectful.
  • Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory or harassing behavior and speech.
  • Be mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow participants. Alert event staff if you notice a dangerous situation or someone in distress.
  • Obey all venue rules and regulations.
  • Obey all applicable laws and regulations of the location where the event is taking place and obeying all applicable laws and regulations of your domicile.

UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR

Examples of unacceptable behavior include but are not limited to the following:

  • Discrimination or harassment in any form, including bullying, threatening, stalking, intimidation, microaggressions, insinuations or disparaging comments that are hurtful or interfere with any other attendee’s experience.
  • Discriminatory jokes and language based on gender, race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion/creed, national origin or any other characteristic protected by law.
  • Sexual harassment, including but not limited to, unwanted or inappropriate conduct, contact, unwanted sexual attention, comments, jokes, or advances.
  • Inappropriate physical contact; you should have someone’s consent before touching them.
  • Violence, threats of violence, or violent language directed against another person.
  • Possession of dangerous or unauthorized materials such as explosives, firearms, weapons or any item that can be used as a weapon.
  • Inappropriate photography or recording, including within the event environment for use on social media, and use of JLR trademarks without the prior permission of JLRNA.
  • Sustained disruption, including during talks and presentations.
  • Wearing clothing that is not suitable for the event, that is inappropriate or otherwise potentially offensive.
  • Failure to obey any instructions of event staff or rules or regulations of the event venue, including any theft, destruction or vandalizing of personal or event property and materials.
  • Boisterous, lewd or offensive behavior or language.
  • If alcohol is served at an event, attendees shall not drink in an irresponsible manner.
  • Possessing or using any illegal substance/drug during a JLRNA event.
  • Falsely reporting violations of this Code and/or retaliating against another person for reporting a violation of this Code.
  • Any other illegal activity or forms of harassment not covered above.

CONSEQUENCES OF UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR

If an attendee violates this Code of Conduct, JLRNA or event staff may take whatever actions it deems appropriate, including warning the attendee to stop their behavior, removing attendee from event without refund, disqualification from attending future events, or notification of on-premises security or local law enforcement as necessary.

REPORTING UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR

If you are subjected to unacceptable behavior, notice that someone else is being subjected to unacceptable behavior, or have any other concerns about this Code of Conduct, please notify JLRNA or event staff, as soon as possible.

After the event has happened, if you would like to report a concern regarding unacceptable behavior, you may use the JLR Confidential Reporting facility by accessing https://jlrspeakup.ethicspoint.com. This facility is operated by an independent external service provider to protect confidentiality.

ADDITIONAL TERMS

This Event Code of Conduct may be revised at any time by JLRNA and JLRNA reserves the exclusive and sole right to enforce this Code of Conduct. This Code of Conduct is not intended to create rights for any parties nor are any parties entitled to any particular action by JLRNA under this Code of Conduct.
